Guruji Notes - Holi Manorath 7-8-Mar 09 - Mumbai

Holi Manorath - Day 1

Sat, 7th Mar 09; 5:30 pm

Lokhandwala, Andheri (W), Mumbai

Dear friends, this is an effort to paraphrase Guruji's Vachanamrut on the occasion of Holi. Wherever possible, I have tried to put it verbatim. I apologize in advance if my language fails to translate the actual meaning. Radhe Radhe, Jai Shree Krushna.

Highlights of Guruji's Pravachan

The Holi comprises of two days - the first day when there is bonfire and the second day where we play with colors and water. The first day represents a burning holi while the second day signifies pacifying, cooling and colorful holi.

In this two day Holi Manorath, Guruji taught how to take our life from this burning holi to that one of soothing, peaceful and joyful holi.

If we learn and implement few lessons in our life, we can convert every day of our life into a colorful holi.

Right since our childhood, we have been taught what we should do, but we have not been taught what we should not do to be happy.

Here are 4 things that we should NOT do to make our life happy:

  1. No Criticism
  2. No Comparison
  3. No Complain
  4. No Competition.

No Criticism

You have to win both, Nidra (sleep) and Ninda (criticism).

You do not need more than 5-6 hours of sleep. You have not come here to sleep.

Aapki nishfalta ka kaaran pramad hai.

It's not for the lack for knowledge that you did not succeed but you gave up half way.

Ek ko pakad rakho. No not jump from one to another. Have faith in what you are doing.

Tumhari nishtha hi aap ko safalta degi.

Whatever is to be done, you will have to do.

No Comparison

There is no duplication in His creation.

Do not compare your child with someone else’s.

The world is only your reflection.

Be santusth.

The bad habit comes easily but is difficult to live with and the good habits come with difficulty but are easier to live with.

First you make habits, and then habits make you.

No Competition

If you want to compete with someone, then compete with yourself.

Don’t quit, keep going.

Holi Manorath - Day 2

Sun, 8th Mar 09; 5:30 pm

Lokhandwala, Andheri (W), Mumbai

Gyan – Swah ko janane ka

Nature abhors vacuum.

[Guruji spoke about Meera and how Meera converted her life from the burning holi to the colorful holi]

“Anukulta ki pratiksha mat karo. Ye Holi hamesha jalti rahegi.”

Do not wait for a favorable time.

5 types of work you need to pay attention to:

  1. Akarmata (Laziness)
  2. Atikarmata (Over-activity) (Avoid extremes)
  3. Ahankar prerit karm (Egoistic work)
  4. Pratikriya (Reaction)
  5. Murchit karm (Repetitive work)

As you progress in spirituality, the spirituality affects your mind (manobhav) which ultimately influences your body.

Without cause, there can not be an effect.

As you progress in spirituality, aapko Manobhav – emotions – shudh hoga.

Cause of disease because our emotions are not pure.

Padho mat, SAMJHO.

You people have borrowed happiness.

If you have borrowed; you will be diseased.

The NATURE is HEALTHY.

(It is the natural state to be healthy & (happy))

Reverse the cause and the effect will change.

There is, but only one ladder. We have to use the same for climbing up or going down.

It is the space between the two tones that (creates) the music.

Change your attitude. It is the only thing that you can do.

There’s no work which will not give fruit.

Jitni zyada lagan hogi, utna tum apne laksh ke kareeb jaaoge.

I don’t want to come again (in this world).

Din jab pura ho jaaye, to parmatma ko apna sab kuch samarpit kar do.

Vinamrata se aap Vishvambhar ko jeet sakte ho

Aapko kadapi, kabhi “Reaction” nahi karna chahiye (you must not react)

Think before you do. Don’t think after you have done.

You do not need to give proof.

You are an individual.

“You do not have to explain anything to anybody.”
